Who’s The Leader?

For this game you need 4 or more players.

First choose someone to be in the middle and have them close there eyes. Next choose someone else to be the leader but don’t tell the person in the middle of the circle. Start the game by doing something,  like patting your legs. The leader can change what everyone in the circle does,  but don’t let the person in the middle see you change the motion. The person in the middle has 3 chances to guess who is the leader. If they guess it right then the leader is in the middle. If they do not guess it right with-in there 3 guesses then they are still in the middle.

Weekly Tips 3# “Good Night”

When a child doesn’t want to go to sleep, try this: first, turn on some calm music. Next, sit with the child in her bed and start reading a book out loud. Gradually slow down how fast you are reading and turn the pages more slowly. When you see the child starting to nod off, tuck her into her bed and turn out the lights.

Whats Different?

For this game, you need at least 4 people. Have one person leave the room. She should change one thing about what she’s wearing. When she gets back, each person takes turns guessing what is different about her. The first person who guesses correctly goes out the next time.

Story Time Game

Make up a funny story with a friend or group of friends. Provide a piece of paper and a pencil. The first person writes three words to begin the story (“She went to…). The next person adds three more words. Periods can be added when needed. Go on until everyone gets a turn (or lots of turns), and then read your goofy story out loud.

Caramel Apples

Buy a bag of fresh green apples, wash them, and with the help of a parent ( Depending on how old you are like if you are 10 or 11 ask for help ) , dip them into melted caramel. After they’re cooled, cut cellophane wrap into large squares and wrap each apple with one of the squares for if you are saving some for later (you can put a stick in each apple if you’d like). Bring them with you when you babysit and the kids can have a treat!

Weekly Tips 2# “Life Size Board Game!”

Ask the kids what their favorite board game is. Then make a jumbo-sized version of it, using construction paper for the squares and cards. Set up the game throughout the house, and tell the kids that they are the game pieces. This is always very fun.
